Maier & Maier Secures Victory in Competitor Litigation

Maier & Maier PLLC is pleased to report that it has obtained victory for its client Mayflower Auto Equipments Inc. in a case involving automotive repair equipment. The case was originally filed by Demax USA Inc. in the Eastern District of Texas on February 18, 2026 (case number 4:26-cv-00177-SDJ). Demax subsequently filed a motion for preliminary injunction on April 2, 2026, seeking to enjoin Mayflower from making, using, selling, offering for sale, importing, or distributing the accused products. Demax alleged that as a competitor in the automotive repair equipment market, it was irreparably harmed by Mayflower.

We responded to the preliminary injunction motion, pointing out numerous flaws in Demax’s position. Instead of filing a reply or continuing to litigate the case, Demax voluntarily dismissed the case. This case represents another victory for the Maier & Maier team in the area of competitor patent litigation.
